FX-4300 to FX-6300 (GTX 970)

Hello guys and Merry Christmas! I have a question. At the moment i have in my PC a FX-4300 as my CPU overclocked at 4.5 ghz. I got some christmas money and i thought of upgrading to a better CPU. I want to do other things with the money though, so is it a necesity? I mainly play CSGO (2k hours and counting). My GPU is a Gtx 970. Should i get the FX6300?

With that motherboard you could jump to a 8320/8350 but even then there won't be much improvement in games that can't use more than 4 threads. The jump from 4300 to 6300 doesn't seem worth it, the 8xxx seems like it might be worth it but it's still an old cpu. If me Id save up for a jump to an i5, that's what the 970 really deserves
