So i just got a new GPU today, its a AMD Sapphire R9 380x, i uninstalled all my old drivers using DDU. i inserted the GPU correctly and installed these driver- http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64

I assumed the GPU was oke but now im having problems, whenever i boot up a failry heavy .Exe game like fallout 4 it crashes, iv tried running fallout 4 at low settings and it still crashes.

When i say crashes my PC, it basically turns its self off instantly, all the fans and lights go off and the screen is black. when i press the power button it does nothing, when i turn off my pc's power and switch it back on the pc can be booted as normal.

Whats the problem? do u think its my Drivers or maybe my power supply? my PSU is a 500w random one and it may be useful to not that to input the 2 six pins power i used 2 molex splitters and a double molex to six pin adapter?

PLS HELP ME!

Solution
I would take out the PSU, and replace it with a high quality unit. You have a 'random' 500w PSU that requires molex -> 6 pin adapters - which means it was never intended to be used with a higher power GPU.

Get a good one, something by EVGA, XFX, or Seasonic in the 600w range. The AMD R9 GPUs tend to run a bit more power hungry (200-300w) so you need a bit more wattage than an equivalent nVidia GPU.
