2 of the HDDs simply stopped working a while ago, but thankfully, they were a striped pair, so I just removed them and ignored the "LD1 status critical" messages for a while. Now, I'd like to replace the whole system with 2 new SSDs in Raid 1. How should I go about doing this in order to preserve my data? If I plug the new drives into the empty slots in the LD, will it copy over old data or just break everything?

Full specs:
amd a10 5800k processor
Gigabyte GA-F2A55M-HD2 motherboard
2 1TB WD Blue HDDs (replacing with 2 960GB Sandisk Ultra II SSDs)
Gigabyte gtx 970 GPU
Windows 10 64bit home

Solution
i would do this.

plug in 1 ssd. use macrium reflect to clone or just copy data over. break the raid copy/clone data back to one of the hdds make raid 1 with ssds copy data back.
