new wifi won't connect to laptop

I recently got new WIFI, but when I try to connect it to my laptop it connects but doesn't work. I'm not able to go on any site, but when I connect my laptop to my old wifi it works perfectly fine. I'm having trouble connecting my new wifi to my Acer laptop

Try entering the encryption passphrase in by hand instead of using the WPS button. Then disable the WPS on the router, it is a well known way for gaining unauthorised access.

If this doesn't do it, temporarily turn off encryption on the router and reestablish the connection then re-enable encryption. Or try a new wifi channel and/or encryption passphrase. Make sure teh comptuer adn access point are physically close together with line of sight between the computer and the router.

I have an Acer laptop and recently got Rogers wifi, had Bell before, when I connect my laptop to the wifi by pressing a button on the router it shows that it has been connected, but then when I try and open a website it states that it can't reach the webpage
