what's the APU/CPU & current GPU? what are you upgrading to?

if the new GPU isn't the same class as the APU's onboard graphics then they will not Cross-Fire anyway. the system should automatically set this up when detecting the new card for the first time.

i would recommend uninstalling the current display driver and it's corresponding software before the switch and reinstalling after you have switched the cards.

I Currently have AMD 6350 CPU, AMD Radeon HD 8670D APU and AMD Radeon 7750, I'm not sure on what to upgrade to yet though, I have a price range of about £200 to get a new one

i don't know what you were referring to about Crossfiring then.
the 6350 is a stand alone CPU, not an APU. but the 8670D is an onboard GPU of the A10 series APUs.
i believe you have something wrong here. you must have an A10 APU, not the 6350 CPU.

the card you should get depends on what games you'll be playing, at what settings, at what resolution, and at what frame rates.
generally the lowest I would recommend is the R9 380. next, maybe a GTX 970. but i would really shoot for the 8GB R9 390X.
