The 660 I have right now (Evga Superclocked 2gb), sometimes (20/100) will crash and so my monitor will black out and I can't do anything other than restart my PC.

So I just got £130 and am not sure whether I should save till the end of 2016, or see if I can save a small amount and get something sooner like a R9 380. I think should get something with at least 4gb? If I do get a R9 380 of some sort, I'm not sure if there is a major difference in performance between the 2 and 4gb versions, but I would prefer to be safe and buy the 4gb one because I like to try Skyrim mods. Man they look beautiful! Though I think ones like Sharpshooters look way to bright in the sun and too dark at night and stuff!

I have a 1920x1080 monitor, the PC has 8gb of ram and my CPU is a i5 3350P (3.10 GHz). None of my components ever go above 35 degrees.

Sorry to bother anyone, just wondering. I don't mind AMD or Nvidia. Take care and I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, you are all beautiful and can do beautiful things, follow your dreams.

Update: I do prefer going with 60fps and at least medium settings, so I guess it looks like I will have to save.

If you are planning on using a 1080p monitor for the foreseeable future, it will serve you for quite awhile. It's strong performer. Granted, it's not a GTX 970, but with your CPU and budget, I think it's the obvious choice.

I would highly recommend a card with at least, MINIMUM 4GB and if you can afford it, 8GB. Google search "games that use more than 4gb of vram" and you'll already see some games reaching or even passing the 4GB vram mark.

How long will the R9 380 last? I'm thinking of getting the http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/AMD+Radeon/Radeon+R9+380/Sapphire+NITRO+AMD+R9+380+Dual+X+Graphics+Card+%2B+Backplate+4GB+?productId=65179
Just because it's really easy to get 24 more £, but Its harder to save up for more. Lets say I could borrow up to 40-£50 instantly, but I can't get more than that till like September 2016. So does that open up other alternatives? o_O

I was thinking of getting one. if I save up the money, and pick the mini gigabyte one. But I feel like amd's 390 would be better because of that 8gb.
