I have set up my network in a way where steam link will not see my pc.
This is the connection.
Cable modem to DLINK 604 Wan (1st floor)Dlink 604 port 1 to (2nd floor)tp link wdr 3500 Wan.
Port 1 wdr 3500 to steamlink.

STEAM link does not see my pc.
All ports do have internet and wifi does work great.

How can I get steam link to see my pc ?

Solution

When using the WAN port on the TPLink, you are creating a double NAT issue. The TP Link needs to be configured as an AP. That means not using the WAN port on this router and disabling LAN DHCP.

This will allow Steam Link to remain on the same subnet as the rest of your network and "see" other devices.

i followed the instructions,
1) find gateway of Main router (192.168.0.1)
2) connect router 2 via cable ( log in)
3) setup wireless security
4) disable DHCP ( check) change lan ip to 192.168.0.254 ( something like .253 it says )
5) connect to a lan port ... done...

no internet over wifi no internet over lan. did i do something wrong?>?

Does your computer obtain a valid IP address when connected by cable to the second router?

Can you ping the IP address of the second router from your PC?

Dhcp wasn't enabled on my main router, after I enabled it internet and steam link both worked..
Makes sense?

All configuration changes referred to in the instructions are for the second router only.

DHCP should remain enabled in the main router.
