So after my gpu died on me, after turning to my old HD 7870 that had barely been used, I found it needed more power than my previous 500w, power - no display. After purchasing a cheap 750w PSU now know is a mistake to skimp out on the PSU. After starting and installing drivers, ran a test on a gamee to see how everything worked to which I received a black screen and a message from my motherboard saying that Asus anti surge had shut down the system to protect it from a surge in the power supply. After reading online about this particular PSU, I soon decided it was a bad idea to be even using it.

So, as a result of this I am in need of a good reliable PSU, 550w-600w+ with high quality.

I have a slight idea of what brands are good (Seasonic, Corsair, XFX etc) and was looking at the CX600 by corsair. I read up to find that it has not had the best reviews, and is stated as overpriced and lacking in quality by some reviews. If someone could recommend me a PSU in the range of 40-50 pounds or so and available in the UK that would be great. System specs below:

System Specs:

Intel I5-4460 @ 3.2ghz
HD 7870 Tahiti
Asus H81M-Plus
1tb HDD
