I am deciding between: G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 and CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400. Going to be running an i7 6700k.

Motherboard:http://ca.msi.com/product/motherboard/Z170A-GAMING-M5.html#hero-specification

I found both at roughly the same price.

Will I have a problem though? The specs say the motherboard works with: 3600(OC)/ 3200(OC)/ 3000(OC)/ 2800(OC)/ 2600(OC)/ 2400/ 2133 MHz.

The (OC) gets me worried. I feel like it won't support 2400 MHz+ well natively.

Am I completely wrong or is my argument somewhat justified?

Sorry, I'm a noob to this. :)

The Skylake K models I've worked with thus far have run through 2666 with no need for an OC, (I've got a 6600K on a Hero, with 32GB of Trident Z at 3200, with my DRAM a couple of 6600Ks and 1a 6700K I've had through the shop needed an OC to run at full 3200. Your CPU might well run them straight up (no OC) or may take a small one which is no big deal, often nothing more than upping your CPU multiplier
