If your primary concern is gaming, 8GB is enough.

You could also get a cheaper board since you are not overclocking with the i3:

i5-4460/4590/4690 (pick whichever is cheaper but if 4590 is slightly more expensive than 4460 get 4590). You could pair the i5 with a good H97 board such as Asrock H97 4PRO or MSI H97 PC MATE. But you will need DDR3 memory.
