Hello fellow PC Enthusiasts.

This is a first time builder here. According to the recommendation of many people online, I have assembled a basic test bench to attempt to boot the BIOS before assembling my computer inside my case. So I put my motherboard on top of my box and installed my Ram, CPU, Heatsink, and graphics card. I believe them to be installed correctly with all the necessary power cables to my power supply. When i short the power leads to turn it on, the fans on the graphics card, heatsink, and PSU all start spinning, and the LEDs on the graphics card turn on, but my monitor does not get any input from any type of connector on either the motherboard or graphics card (DVI, HDMI, VGA, DVI, none of them get any signal). I do not believe I have broken any parts in the assembly process, or that any of them came damaged. I have seen similar problems mentioned before, as no signal is a common problem, but none of the problems that I saw in other threads on this or another forum seem to be the problem.

As far as complications go, the only one I can think of that might be causing problems would be that we didn't use an antistatic wrist strap (Though it is fairly humid here, and we ground ourselves with the nearby sink) and that the backplate for the heatsink was installed with the wrong side facing the motherboard, though this was quickly corrected before installing the heatsink itself.

Everything seems to be working on the system, all the fans blow normally, but no signal is coming, so. I guess this is why people recommend doing a test bench.

My parts list should show up with the link below, The only difference is that the graphics card I have has a backplate

Merry Christmas Everybody! (12 Minutes Late...)

Edit 1: I forgot to mention that I an 100% certain the Monitor works, as I have tested it with this computer.

Solution
Hi, Try removing the graphics card, and any other PCIe device. Leave single RAM module inserted and start the board. Test each slot.

I tried what you suggested. The BIOS loaded with just the single stick of RAM and no GPU. Then when I attached the second RAM stick it still worked, and when I attached the GPU, IT WORKED!!! Although, only via the DVI from the GPU when it was installed. Thanks for your suggestion!
