Will my computer's files be lost and will I have to re-purchase windows 7 after upgrading my motherboard?

I'm going to eventually upgrade my motherboard, because my PC needs to be compatible with SLI (my current motherboard only supports crossfire). I have one GTX 970 at the moment and I am planning on purchasing another.

However, I heard that it's a possibility that I will lose my operating system and my files with it. This is a problem because windows 7 came with my computer, so I don't know the product key, and I would rather not buy windows 7 all over again. Also, it would be nice to know how likely it is that I would lose all of my files, so I can be properly prepared and back most of them up in the case it does happen.

This might be worth adding too; I've installed an extra 1 tb Western Digital hard drive, and I have another 500 gb portable hard drive that I always keep plugged in through a USB port.
Here's the layout of my computer's memory:

My current computer specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k 3.30 GHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 970
Motherboard (will be replaced): ASUS P8Z68-V LX
8 GB of RAM

New motherboard that will eventually be installed into my computer:
GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD3

I am willing to provide more information about my computer if it is required, I may have left something out. Thanks for any help that you give.

your files are on your harddrive so nothing will happen to them, Actually nothing happens to windows, you just need a licence to activate it for the next motherboard. :) Take it to a local PC shop and they can activate it for you for like $30, So what they do is activate it but they dont give you the code :) cause if they gave you the code they would basically be selling you windows. SO for much less they can activate it for you :) Thats how its done in my area :)
