Hi. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

My MSI GT 730 2GB will not fit in my PC. It's a Dell Optiplex 960 mini-tower.

When I put it in two slots (one for vga, hdmi, dvi, other for ventilation) it is too far away to fit into the PCI-E slot. If I fit it into the PCI-E slot, It'll have only one part of it for 1 slot, where the ventilation part is off to the side. It doesn't fit like this either, it's crooked because there's a little black cylinder blocking the metal. (Picture shown here: http://imgur.com/ucGAxQf )

I have no idea how to get it to fit. Any help would be appreciated! (And before you ask, no, I can't give pictures.)

It would the be the first you showed, with the ventilation slot.

You can remove the bracket and cut it in half vertically to remove the vent side. Tin snips work well for this. Just remove the 4 nuts and maybe a screw on the back. Cut,then bolt it back on. Your computer is a BTX and nobody makes anything to fit it. This is normal for BTX upgrading. In ATX there is always a slot there for the vent. In BTX there is no slot, but a vent and good air flow already there. You can test fit with the bracket off to be sure there is nothing else hitting.
