Ok so back in September I picked up a GTX 960 2 gb for my gaming rig. It has been coming together slowly but surely. I just got a GTX 970 4gb for Christmas and want to know if it will be worth keeping the 960 as a dedicated physx card. My system is more than capable of handling it power wise I just want to make sure I'm not doing more harm than good in any way. I currently set the 960 as a dedicated physx card. Is this still a viable option or should I consider selling it and trying to get another 970 in the future? I wouldnt be able to get another 970 for a while though.

My other system specs are as followed
Board: MSI Gaming 970
CPU: AMD FX 6300
RAM: 16 gb fury x
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 970 SSC 4GB
EVGA Geforce GTX 960 FTW 2gb
PSU: 600 Watt Evga power supply
HDD: 480 GB SSD

Your psu isnt very good for them both. Also your CPU is a big bottleneck. I would sell the 960,970 and get a 980 or 980 ti. There is no point of using it as physX gpu except if you want it to handle physX and physics on batman arkham knight.,.. There it is reasonable

I have to disagree with that as I'm running two 970's on an old 620w PSU and the 960 uses a good 50w less than the 970.

Really? Well the PSU that I'm using was bought back in 2005 and every pair of GPU's that it has ever run were and still are used for folding which thrashes the GPU's at 90-100% load 24/7 365.

I really don't want to sell both cards lol. I'm going to keep the 970 since i just got it. Thinking of pulling the 960 out the system and see what happens. CPU will be upgraded soon.
