i3 haswell or skylake I would say in terms of price/performance. depends on what gpu(s) you want to run.
Although having 4 cores in an i5/i7 is more preferable

If you have cash for it it's fine, but I'd still recommend the 4670k as it's pretty much similar and you could invest the extra cash on the gpu.

the i3 6100 with a Z170 motherboard rips up almost any previous generation of processor in gaming. If you are price sensitive then save from the 6600K and go with the 6100.
