I have a corsair 200r. I have 3 exhaust fans and 1 intake on the front. On the 200r the intake on the front is pretty bad because of how small the dust filter is on the front. I have 2 cats and leaving the back and side vents open are letting alot of cat hair on my gpu and heatsink. I am planning to get some filters but I need a quick option for now.

Yes you can but monitor your temps after to make sure it still cool. Block off the bottom fan mount also.
You need to change your fan setup anyhow your sucking stuff in from every place air can get into the case.
2 front intakes and 2 exhaust should work fine.

Zerk2012 is correct; using slightly positive pressure in the case would be much better in your environment. I would mount two more powerful intake fans where filters are installed, use two less powerful exhaust fans (they don't have to fight with the filter restriction) and block the other fan intake/exhaust holes. Then monitor your temperatures and make adjustments if necessary.

The thing is you can only have 1 fan on the front of this case and the side panels have no filters. This case is pretty useless when it comes to front intake because the filter holes get blocked by dust within a week even after cleaning.

That alot of effort just to bring in a very small amount of air since its 80% blocked by the drive bay
