Hello,
I got a new corsair h75 watercooler for my pc and fitted it today, and now whenever I boot up my pc it starts and i can sometimes log in and open things, but then it shuts down. The pc seems to work for longer if I leave it turned off for a longer time. If I leave it switched off for 2-3 mins I can get it to reach the login screen for windows, but if I turn it on again right after it shuts itself down, it shuts down almost immediately. I have made sure all the cables are plugged in correctly and moved my ram into different slots, and I can't see anything which is broken or out of place. I have seen other people online who have had similar problems with their pc's starting and shutting down again, but I have read nothing about it staying on for different times depending on how long it was left off for ,so I've got no idea what to do. My PC ran fine until I put in the new cooler today. I have tried to open the bios and boot into safe mode, but it still shuts down.

If you guys know anything I could do to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated.

PC specs:
AMD 8320 CPU
8gb of Hyper X fury ram
AMD r9 270x 4gb GPU
Corsair cx600m PSU
WD 2tb hard drive
Gigabyte ga-990xa-ud3 motherboard
Windows 10 home premium 64 bit

I removed the cooler and checked it, and there was no plastic cover on the mating surface, I removed the stock thermal paste and reapplied it and it has not turned off and begun disk checking when I booted it, and I think it may have just not been seated correctly
Thanks for the help, But i'll wait and see if it shuts down again.

thanks for the help, i'd just been a bit silly and the bracket things on the back of the motherboard was twisted and weird and so the cooler was not seated well enough, it seems to be fixed now
