I know that there is already a forum for switching to a new GPU but that person was switching from AMD to a GeForce

I am going from an EVGA GTX960 2gb to an MSI GTX960 4gb.

Is there anything I need to uninstall before putting in the new GPU?

[I have already bought the new GPU]

I want to know if it is okay to just to replace the card without having to uninstall anything.

You aren't going to see much benefit between 2GB and 4GB RAM on a GTX960: by the time you crank details high enough to make use of the extra memory, the GTX960 and its 128bits wide memory interface won't be fast enough to push the extra pixels and texels.

This is not worth it at all. See, you are going to get the exact same performance on the GTX 960 4GB even in higher resolutions.

The only games you will be seeing an improvement in are actually poorly optimised games, like AC: Unity were I believe the detection of allocated VRAM on 2GB cards is simply poorly coded.

Don't upgrade at all.
