I made a big mistake. I sent in the rebate before testing my motherboard. Upon using it I was having many errors switching between VGA LED and Graphics led, even though all of my components worked on a different board and were all compatible. I came to the conclusion I needed to rma the motherboard. First I went through Newegg, but it was denied for missing the Original UPC (they would not accept a copy...I took a photo of the UPC before I shipped it off for the rebate) Then after a grueling waste of time I get my motherboard back. I open it all up to make sure everything is still there and notice a scratch on the motherboard underside. I have packaged it up for Asus rma but I fear it will most certainly get denied because of the scratch. From what I have read when you get a motherboard that is DOA/has scratches/bent CPU pins you should go back to the RETAILER! BUT I can't since I sent in the rebate...... I bought the motherboard on black friday this year, so much for a great deal....Am I just screwed out of $135? I went with asus as I heard so many great things about quality control but now I feel like I am getting screwed from every which direction.

That is Newegg's policy and it's like that for a reason.
Asus will repair the board for you but with damage their going to charge you. Your going to have to send the board to them not just take it somewhere local!!!!
Life lesson learned never send in for the rebate until you know the parts work.
