Hello,

I received an FX 8320 for christmas :). Now I am looking to turn my rig into a Micro ATX build. The reason being is, I want this case:

Also...I am pretty sure my motherboard died after running the new processor with the stock cooler last night (I have a CM Evo 212... but of course I was out of thermal paste....). When I try to boot the pc, It gets to the Gigabyte boot menu and just sits there. The processor was running fine (but hot for sure) so I know the processor wasn't DOA or anything. I bought the motherboard back in 2012 so, perhaps it was time, and the new processor finished it off?

Anyway, I need to find a decent enough Micro ATX board that will support my processor. I already know, that my choices are limited and that Intel appears the way to go for Micro builds. However, I don't have much of a choice considering I have this processor now.

So far, all I have been able to find that would be worth attempting is this:

So, I was wondering if anyone could recommend some other options for me. If I could find a Mini-ITX board... that would be great as well because then I could just get the Thermaltake Core V1 case.

Below is a list of my current specs:

FX 8320 Black Edition
16GB G.Skill Sniper 1600 (PC3) 12800 DDR3
Gigabyte 990 FX+ (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
Thermaltake SS 750W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
EVGA GTX 960 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487154)
ACER GN246HL 24" 1ms 144Hz (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

Thank you for quick reply. I know not to run a CPU without thermal paste lol that's not what I did. I ran the CPU with the stock cooler (which comes with thermal paste pre-applied). However, it was clearly getting hot. And I believe either it killed my MOBO, or my MOBO simply refuses to get passed the bios menu using this cooler. Either way, I still am looking to fit my rig into a Micro ATX case. So I need a new MOBO either way.

I am about to just go ahead and purcahse the Asrock... the more I search, the more it's becoming clear; That's my only option. But I agree, it does look good. Thanks again!
