This occurs on any application that puts any load on the GPU. I am using CPUID and Core Temp which show there are no issues with overheating. All applications will crash such as FurMark, 3dMark, and all game software. I can browse, word process and stream with no issues.

I currently have the most up to date nvidia drivers installed, but I've rolled back all the way to April.

I have recently wiped my Windows 10. IT hasn't run since the wipe. I am unsure if they are related, but there you go.

Almost forgot:

i7 960 Bloomfield 3.2Ghz
GeForce GTX 760
Windows 10 64bit Home edition
Asus Sabertooth x58 motherboard
Corsair 750watt PSU
16G ram

Windows 10 causes a lot of issues with games and gaming video cards, if you can install 7 or 8, try that. Also I'd test the video card and/or power supply in another system to rule out a hardware issue, or a different card and power supply in yours. Also test the RAM one stick at a time.

I reverted to a completely clean windows 7 install.

I installed only updated drivers, Furmark.

Driver dies immediately. I suppose this limits my possibilities down to dead hardware, and likely a dead card?

Before doing a bunch of hardware swaps, test on one RAM stick at a time and also do a BIOS update on the motherboard. If you are overclocking anything, reset to defaults. If that still causes crashes, then you need to test the card in another system or another similar card in yours.

I remembered I had two 470 GPUs in my garage with a bridge. I hated the card as it ran super hot but I'm glad I held on to it for this test. It confirms that the issue was my GeForce GTX 760 card. Now that I know this, is there any way to repair the card, or is the best method of repair:

1) open window
2) insert GTX 760 through window
3) order new card

Many video cards have a pretty long warranty, check with the vendor before throwing it out.
