I recently bought a new evga gtx 970 video card. Is there any risk to putting this brand new awesome half grand video card in my aging system? (it's about 3-4 years old with a z68 mobo and antec tp-500 psu - these are the oldest components along with the old gtx 560 video card) I just worry the aging components might feed dirty power to the video card and age it faster or something along the lines of that. Since I'm spending so much on the video card I guess I could get a new system but would rather not as I'm quite happy with what I have now. The power supply could obviously wig out too. What's the overall risk of using new components with aging components? Is it negligible and relatively low?
Thanks

Oops typo ... it's a tp-550. I was looking at google the other day and couldn't find an exact match for it anywhere for a manual. I'm not sure if it's a classic a new or some other model entirely. The only documentation I have for it just says TP-550 - and it is a spec sheet with rail assignment cords included etc.
