Pavilion p6313w with M2N78-LA (Violet6) mobo - Can I upgrade my Ram to 16GB with Corsair XMS3 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1333 MHz (PC3 10666). Specs say I can upgrade to 16GB but if you use 3 or 4 slots, speed goes from 1333 to 1066. Was going to go 4x4BG, but didn't want to lose speed. Let me know if 2x8GB is possible.

The HP page clearly says 4GB DIMMs. http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01925562 You will be wasting your money buying anything larger.
Well, i am going to upgrade my mother to a LGA 1150 to accomodat an I-5 class CPU. Since asking this initial question, I have read and gained a lot through Tom's.. Daughter's PC we upgraded Ram, PSU and GPU. My PC is next with LGA 1150 mother with I5-4690K, 500W PSU with at least GTX 950 GPU. Thanks for all
