Why am i not seeing an increase in frames? Upgraded PC with no boost in frames

So i went from a gtx 750, AMD A8 5500, 8gb RAM to R9 280x, I7 4790k, 16 gb ram. I see no difference in frames, and in one game im getting less. Any reason why?

Have you tried reinstalling your OS and related drivers for your components after you migrated to your new components? Can you please state the titles in which you're gaming on with your setup? Please state your full systems specs as you didn't mention the motherboard, PSU and OS drive or the resolution at which your gaming on.
