I'd like to be able to build my own gaming desktop, But I dont know what all I would need. I kind of want it to be able to play newer games, like GTA V, Fallout 4, and bigger games like that. but I dont know what parts would work, or whats parts I'd need. My price range is about $550-$600 (I want some type of Windows on it, just not Windows 8)

Solution
You need the basic parts of a computer: hard drive, GPU, CPU, motherboard, RAM, and power supply. Other parts include Windows and an optical drive. If you don't already have peripheral, you'll want to include that in your budget. The process of building a pc is setting a price point, defining your purpose of the computer or system, then getting the parts that fit your needs. All the parts must be compatible and work with each other. Factors like cooling, space, and speed need to be considered. It takes a lot of research to come up with the perfect build. Hopefully this was a nice introduction to pc building,

Personal tip: google everything you don't know and watch a lot of videos.
