SSD is Out of Room: What's the Next Step?

I've officially used up all of the storage space on my 240 GB SSD. While I also have a USB drive which is nowhere near full, I can no longer install any games on my computer, so I need to upgrade. In an ideal world, I'd like to simply buy a second SSD, and install it alongside my currently existing one. However, I don't know if that's a viable option or not. Am I able to use multiple SSDs in a single machine? If so, do they both need to be the same model? The same size? Or is it better to simply buy a larger SSD, and sell the old one at a loss?

I'm not particularly familiar with this aspect of computers, so any information is highly appreciated. Thank you!

ITs a regular pc right, not a laptop? Yeah sure go ahead and get a 500gb samsung 850 evo for gaming and programs. Use regular HDs for storage of photos and music, etc

I have 3 SSDS. A 256gb as o/s drive. A 500gb as a game/app drive, a 240gb as a recent media/torrent etc drive (was my older, slower SSD o/s drive from my previous build) and 2x 2TB+ HDDs for infrequent media storage.

They do not need to be smae models or same size. I would keep both. 2 drives working concurrently better than a single drive. i.e. windows can access o/s/ drive while im playing a game and accessing that disk while im also torrenting and accessing the recent media /torrent dive.
