This is for my roommates PC.
So it started when he decided to take his pc to a friends house, worked fine, came back and then his computer wouldn't start.

I came back from work and took a look at it, trying different things, it doesn't post what so ever.
-
Day 1: I thought it was his power supply, as the issue was when we hit the power button on the computer, his powersupply fan would start up, but NOTHING else would, case fans, heatsink, nothing. I tested my powersupply, and it didn't work on his computer what so ever. I have a 750watt thermaltake 80+ gold, which works wonderful in my system. Though didn't do anything for him. So at that point I decided to take his computer out of his case and test other options using the paperclip trick to start and turn off the computer.
-
Day 2: About 3 weeks ago he installed an 8core AMD Processor(please note I am too lazy too look up all the names of his hardware, don't think it matters too much.) It worked just fine, so I decided to try his old 4core processor, weird thing was the 4core didn't sit all the way, so I checked the pins on both processors, all were intact. I had to give a little shove down on the 4core so it would fit. Kind of weird but alright. It booted up, though didn't post. Turn the computer off and it never turned on again on this day. I tried all 4 ram slots with his 2 ram sticks, 1 at a time to see if anything would change, I even tried 1 of my ram sticks which works in my system. No magic there. So I assumed it was the motherboard.
-
Day 3: We took it to some repair pc, I told him not to because I knew some of these places including in Orlando, Fl were full of idiots. Guy tried to sell him a $50 motherboard for $100, yeah right. He basically listened to what I told him, held on to the PC for 3 days, and said it was the motherboard. So we ordered a new one.
It was an Asus motherboard for about $140, really nice motherboard.
-
Day 4: Installed the 8core, heatsink, ram, gpu, psu, everything. NO BOOT, NO POST, NO BEEPITY BOPPITY. Only PSU fan spins. Alright then. Took it to a place called ubreakifix. They were able to get it to boot, and it stayed on for 8 hours, then we took it home at no charge.
They said there was no display though but they were too busy and just told us to see if they can fix it because they wouldn't be able to get to it for a while. k...
Brought it home, no boot, but weirdly enough the cpu fan decided to spin in the new and old motherboard. Tried my PSU on the new mobo, nah, ram, nah, gpu, nah, even tried the 4core and 8core processor on both motherboards. 4core turned on the first time, kept it on for 30minutes before shutting off. Boots up for a second, processor fan spins + psu. Shuts off after that second. Pretty lame and really annoyed at this point.

All hardware is compatible, as it all worked before.
The motherboard isn't even in a case right now, the only things connected right now is the processor + heatsink, psu, and 1stick of 8gb corsair ddr3. SAME CRAP AS BEFORE. No post, no beeps, just the subtle wind blown from the 2 fans for about a second or two. Then it goes quiet. Honestly I have no clue what is wrong and I've gone through hours and hours of threads trying new things. If anyone has a clue, please help me, hopefully my journey of a read is enough to satisfy you in order to give me some information.

No but seriously I need help on this, I just want to play League/runescape with him lol.

The UBreakIfix got it to boot and you saw this happen? But they said there was no display? Um correct me if I'm wrong but that seems wrong. If there was no display how did they know if it booted correctly. Also if you ran through all the process' of ram stick 1 at a time. changing out psu, cpu's etc. Then it seems to me the new board might have been DOA and yes that happens. Best bet RMA the new board and try again.
