How do i know the model number of my fan and its compatibility with my new cpu?

The one facing downwards is the cpu cooler..... The other, at the back is just a regular case fan that emits hot air from case. .. NOW , I cant tell the exact type of cpu fan that is there.. But when you buy the new cpu, it will come with it's own cooler..

thanks! so can the regular case cooler fit in my new mobo?

also another stupid question :/ where exactly is the cpu?

The regular case cooler is not on the motherboard.... The CPU is under the fan you see facing downwards on the motherboard... To remove it, you have to remove the cpu cooler fan first..

well, i see the cooler screwed onto the motherboard. correct me if i'm wrong

It is usually clipped , you turn the clips or follow any arrow seen there to remove cooler.

really sorry if im wasting your time or annoying you :/ but aren't the clips from the motherboard?? if i get my new mobo how will i know i have the same clips and stuff

The clips come built on to the cpu fan that also comes with the cpu in the same box..

no im talking about the free fan not the cpu fan

Are you sure you even have an idea of where the cpu is and what it is ? Who helped you in choosing the CPU you are about to buy ?

ok ok lets start over. you said their are 2 fans. 1 is a cpu fan and the other one keeps the whole box cool which is the one shaped as a box. how will i know if the boxed fan which is screwed to the mobo will fit in my new mobo?
