I'm currently running on the 1TB WD Blue HDD and keen on upgrading to a Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB. In Thailand, it's currently around $50 and I can get a used one for $30. It's been used for 8 months now and still has 2 years of warranty left. Or should I just wait for the $50 one.

Solution
get a used intel, sandisk, or samsung 850 or 840.

That kingston is one of the slowest SSDs you can get. If youre buying one therell be intel storage tool that can read out it's write level wear. id get them to post a pic of it.

I wouldn't get a used SSD. SSDs have a number of write times that you can write a different Boolean to each transistor (basically it can only write a certain amount of data), limiting the lifespan for used SSD's. It isn't a matter of how it was treated, but how much it has written.

hence the reason id request the seller to upload the write level data. for budget people this is missing out on bargains.
