Hello, I am a noob on computers and so I bought a computer on Ironside. The fans that I got are chasis fans that is not connected to the motherboard but through the power supply. The fans are pretty loud and annoying because of that and I was wondering if I can buy silent fans that are compatible. The motherboard is Gigabyte GA-H110M-A and doesn't have a lot of fan headers and my case is nzxt 240. I don't really know what to do. Should I buy new fans or should do other shenanigans?

Many thanks

Hey Patrick, here's a very good solution to your problem, and will help you in the future if you want to upgrade to watercooled... Thermaltake Suppressor F-31. Check it out. Very cheap, and as big as a cave inside. I just installed a mini-ATX motherboard... oh it's the H110. A real pain to install with the tiny screws, but it's a big case that you can fit so many fans and radiators it's mind-boggling.

the problem with fans that say 19.3 dBa is that is ideal scenarios, your best bet is to buy a fan speed controller and tune your fans with that, the cheap ones work but they may cause the coils in your fans to make noise, try to get the electronic ones i think those have voltage smoothing.
