Yeah, in most cases the 1GB faster memory will be better than 2GB slow memory.
The 260X has 1GB of GDDR5 with over 100 GB/s bandwidth. Above 1GB it can access system memory at 15.75 GB/s. The GTX 750 will be stuck with less than 30 GB/s from the start.

They'll struggle with AC: Syndicate at medium settings, but low ought to run better. Witcher 3 will also probably need to run at low settings.
The other two games should be a little easier to run.
For the most demanding games though, spending a little more on the graphics card would be worth it.

Thank again Sakkura! The 750 arrived today, I was all set to send it back but then realised that it has actually got 2gb GDDR5 not DDR3 (the seller advertised it incorrectly). Would the 260X still be the better option even though it is £10 dearer? Thanks again.
