I have a question I was looking to hook up 2 cards in my rig I have a Radeon Sapphire 5970 4GB HD in there now , was gonna get a Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 2 GB but not sure if that would work to hook up both cards. thank you

They will but each gpu will be detected as having 1GB VRAM because of that 2GB 5970. Btw you should ditch the idea. Quadfire is terrible idea espcially with 5k series. And most importantly AMD already drop driver support for 5k and 6k series. 5970 rely heavily on driver updates for crossfire to work. So from now on when there is new games being release CF will not work on 5970.

In short: just get cards from newer generation.
