I'm getting a new system with the AMD Radeon R7 integrated graphics card. It has a quad-core A10 3.5 processor and 12gb ddr3 ram. My old system has a Nvidia GeForce GTX285. You can see the specs of that card here: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-285/specifications

My question is, is it worth upgrading the power supply of the new PC to run the old GTX or will the integrated card offer better overall performance?

From the 3.5GHz A10 I assumed you had an A10-7800. As you can see, the 285 significantly outperforms its integrated GPU. Any other iGPU will be even less powerful.

I would recommend this power supply:

500W should be enough for a GTX285, and EVGA is a very good brand. Do not buy a PSU from a sketchy brand like "Sparkle Power", etc.
No question I would update your PSU for the future even if you are not going to use that card that way you will be prepared in the future for a upgrade to a new GPU given the PSU you pick and you can rule out any issues on the upgrade if you have any.
