Will an AMD-FX-8320 with a GTX 660 be good for gaming?

Can I run new games, lag free, high quality?
Also, any recommendations for a motherboard? It should be cheap, $150 and below.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P. ~$80 most of the time. Excellent overclocker (you will want to OC the 8320 for certain games).

Graphics card: I'd go with a GTX 950, 960 or R9 380 over the 660.
