Put new GPU in friends system, constant crashes

Hello, so just yesterday I went over to my friends house and gave him my old 750 ti. I put it in the motherboard and made sure it was secured. I installed the nvidia drivers and made sure the system was detecting the card, which it was. The power supply for his system is an atx 500w, more than enough for a 750 ti. Everything was going smoothly until I left, when he texted me saying that his computer kept crashing every now and then. I told him to check his temps and everything was >70. I don't know what the issue is if it's not overheating. The computer just keeps crashing without warning. Thanks in advance.

The PSU could still be the issue if it's not a very good one (quality). If it's some sketchy brand it may just be unstable. If you can get that checked, it could help finding the problem. Ask your friend what power supply he's using.

Yeah his PSU is some weird brand (imgur.com/hPqBxZy). Im thinking about going over there today and putting in my old cx430 psu. It may have less wattage but it is a corsair power supply which is definitely better than whatever his current one is. And also he told me his computer only shuts off under heavy load (well not really heavy but playing games). He said that his computer will stay on a lot longer if he isn't playing games on it, which means it is definitely the psu, right?

I updated his Nvidia drivers as he had a gt 610 (lmao) before. His computer is pre-built so I have no idea where to find the drivers for the motherboard and bios. Here is a picture of his specs: http://imgur.com/7i8D1Hf.
And yes I know his CPU is running a bit hot and I will deal with that it's just that 80 degrees isn't enough to crash a computer.
