IT worth it to install a firewall in a notebook?

my note is kinda weak, and i use wifi to conect internet, so once in a while, i think it someone else could be hacking the router and secretally look at my files. a good firewall will help on that? how is comodo firewall today? the last time i instaled in 2014, it was like too heavy for my pc. its lighter now?

Windows has built-in software FW, that should be enough for your occasional connection to a public WIFI. Don't do financial transactions until you get home.

Windows Firewall is enough to protect you. If you are paranoid try ZoneAlarm Free Firewall (Freeware) its for free.

I believe that you are good to go with Windows Firewall.

Get a good antivirus, good one I can recommend is BitDefender or Avira or Microsoft Security Essentials.

windows 7 firewall its truly safe then? i remember when XP was the main system, that theres a lot of jokes about the firewall, like this image,https://netbz.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/windowsfirewal.jpg some friends told me in that time that is really recomended install a firewall, but that was a long time ago. Win 7,8 and 10 had good firewalls then?
