Can I reset my Samsung Windows 8.1 laptop to factory settings without a disc so I can sell it?

HI

I am wanting to sell my laptop so I want to wipe it clean and reset it back to factory settings. I don't have a windows 8 disc and also I don't have a disc drive either. Is it possible to still do this?

There maybe a recovery partition on the HD and let you WIPE the OS partition, but then you will be selling the laptop WITHOUT OS. To install a clean OS, you must have the original restore media, or order from Samsung. Without optical drive, ask Samsung if you can download it, or have them ship you a flash.

If you dont have original disc I believe you can download form torrent exact version of your windows and make bootable disc or bootable usb.

Check if your laptop has sticker with CD KEY somewhere
