So I've had this gaming PC for about a couple months here are the parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CPBgjX
anyways my cpu fan is really loud whenever I played games and I understand that yet for some reason it recently started beeping in the middle of playing a game and I'm afraid there is something wrong idk.. I just don't want anything to go bad...

Solution

Based off of your temps you should have no problem running games for long periods of...
It sounds like your CPU is overheating, the noise your hearing is the stock fan (which isn't very good) cranking up trying to cool it. You should install and run AMD Overdrive, its thermal margin will show you how much temp you have left till you reach critical level (70C)- so if it says 10C you are at 60C and only have 10C until you reach critical temp. The stock cooling on FX chips isn't very good and you are probably going to have to upgrade to a good aftermarket cooler. The best budget cooler is the Hyper 212 EVO and is a good starting point.

So I'm not sure If I'm doing this right but I got Core Temps and this is what I got while I was playing a game that makes my fan run the loudest

Core temps is not going to give you the accurate temp of your FX processor. Programs such as core temps, HWmonitor, ect have been known to give false temps for AMD FX processors, the only program that accurately gives the real temp is AMD Overdrive (use it to monitor temps not actually overclock). For one thing Core Temp is saying the TJ max is 90C whereas the actual thermal max for FX is 70C, at 90C your going to melt your processor.

What tab on AMD Overdrive should I look at to determine if my CPU is getting too hot?

OK there's a lot of stuff on the CPU Status page what do I look for in particular, especially if my CPU might be overheating?

No, that's not bad. It means at idle your CPU temperature is 14C, so you have 56C till you hit the thermal limit (ie your thermal margin). Now what you have to do is put your CPU under load so we can see what it is doing. With Overdrive running launch a game and while playing look to see what your thermal margin numbers are doing.

So I was playing a game that makes my fan run really loud sometimes and it was like at a constant 38 to 37?? Idk but the MHz was going red sometimes too...

What's ups? I also had no beeping that was very rare for it to do that.

your thread title

CPU sound making weird beeping

made me wonder what it was.

Your fan is gong to be loud mate, the stock amd cpooers are 60mm fans rated at 4500rpm - theyre noisy as hell which is why 99% of people end up replacing them asap.

there is nothing wrong with your temps at all.
a noisy cpu fan is absolutely normal.

Ok so it would be fine to play games like I showed the those temps for like long periods and have no problems?

Based off of your temps you should have no problem running games for long periods of time. Most of the computers I deal with are going to be overclocked so have aftermarket coolers from the start, I forgot how much noise the stock coolers make to keep the CPU cool. Periodically you can always recheck your temps just to be sure your in the safe zone, for now your fine.
