Hello guys im going to build a gaming pc for me and my son, my budget is a bit low atm but feel free to add any recommendation. First i want to know if this products are compatible with each other:
Intel Core I5 6500
MSI H170 gaming M3 Mother Board
GTX 950 2GB GPU ( also what brand do you recommend?)
What power supply should i get? I think we're planning on overclocking
Me and my son like gaming, my last computer got overheated and died so i want something durable that can keep up with us playing vídeo games all day long.
What is the difference between liquid cooling and air cooling ( except the obvious ones ofcourse)
We're planning to play fallout 4, GTA V, The witcher 3 and far cry 4. Will this build keep up?
Any recommendations are welcome and if you think i can get better or equal performance at cheaper price please let me know, thanks in advance.

For GPU brand there's minor differences, mostly in the cooler (since we're not talking about ultra high end cards where there's other major differences). Generally, more fans on the cooler is what you want (as long as it fits in the case of course). Between Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA and MSI it really comes down to cooler size and personal preference for looks.

For the power supply we'll need to know what country you live in and your budget.

There's a few differences between air and water cooling. Air cooling uses fewer moving parts so it has a (theoretically) lower chance of failure, however water cooling has a few benefits of its own. Generally the higher cooling capacity of water cooling means you won't have to speed up the fans of the cooler so much so the system can either be quieter or cooler than air cooling. It also makes things easier for working in the case as you won't have a big tower sticking out on top of the CPU. Finally, while this is mostly cosmetic, with water cooling you won't have a giant block of metal sagging on top of your CPU (and watercooling looks cooler yay).

EDIT: If you plan on overclocking the CPU you'll need a Z170 motherboard and (possibly) a K-series processor (i5 6600k for example). Many Z170 boards have *unofficial* support for overclocking non-K CPUs but that's pretty a much a use-at-your-own-risk feature. You will however be able to overclock the GPU regardless.

Also how can i do that?, thanks in advance i really appreciate your help. And i am from Venezuela what power supply should i get?

Well if you're planning on overclocking the GPU or the CPU you should get at least a half-decent power supply from a brand like EVGA, Corsair,Cooler Master and so on. I'm not an expert, but i think 500-600W on the Power Supply would be more than enough. Also ,for the GPU manufacturer ,i really like EVGA's GTX 950. And for the performance in games, it's gonna be perfect for Fallout 4 and GTA V if you crank the settings down just a bit. When talking about Far Cry 4 and Witcher 3 though, its gonna srtuggle a bit. You wil need to play on low-medium settings I believe. This is all of course,if you're gaming at 1080p.

UPDATE: Also , for the CPU you can also go with LGA1150 and choose the i5 4690K, if you dont mind the older socket. It's overclockable, relatively cheap and not as old as people consider it. It's better than the i5 6500,but not as good as the i5 6600k. It's still a very decent choice for a gaming CPU,and you can upgrade it later on with the i7 4790k. And for an LGA1150 mobo i would recommend the Asus Z97M-PLUS. It's a good choice and it can handle the overclocking you will most likely put on the i5.
