I originally had a logitech g100 and it suddenly started to not recognize clicks so I got new different mouse and after a few months it started to do the same and I would have to press the left clicker really hard. I got curious and hooked it to my laptop and it started working perfectly and then tried it back on my desktop and same problem once more. Even tried different USB slots and borrowed my uncles mouse and it would do the same. Anyone have an idea as if it's my USB or some setting I should look into that might have been changed. I am running Windows 7 by the way.

Solution
1) open Device Manager and see if any conflicts exist (exclamation shown)

2) run memtest86 www.memtest86.com free version for a FULL PASS to see if problems there (can affect many different things)

Possibly. Make sure you tried both the FRONT CASE and rear slots as they are pretty far apart electrically.

a) backup Windows if possible
b) run Windows 10 install (lower right should have a notice)

It would be ideal to do a CLEAN INSTALL of Windows 10 really. If so, I'd use the Microsoft Media Creation tool to burn an...

It would be ideal to do a CLEAN INSTALL of Windows 10 really. If so, I'd use the Microsoft Media Creation tool to burn an USB/DVD then boot to it, DELETE your existing partitions (everything gone so be sure) then install. Finally, add any missing drivers.
