So my msi gtx 970 has been causing my pc to restart when under a big load while gaming. the pc is under 7months old and the gpu is a week old. i messaged msi support and they told me try run it on a 750 psu.

so my question is its the RMi750 better then the standard RM750.

money can be a issue as my income is low.

Solution
The only weak link I see in your system is the power supply. The VS series are at the very bottom of quality from Corsair. I recommend replacing it with something from Super Flower, XFX, Antec or Seasonic in 500-550 watt range.

im running a i5 4690k, a brand new msi gtx 970, 1tb HDD, 1x 8GB Hyper X black RAM, Corsair Vs550 PSU.

its since adding the gpu, the temps are all fine when i CAN game. the fans spin from time to time if it gets at a certain temp and the side of my case is off with a fan near it so it cant be overheating.

the critical errors in event viewer is only kernel power ones, nothing else
