EDIT

Just looking for some helpful suggestions for my specific pc and peace of mind when making my purchase. Without much knowledge in this field, mixed with the amount of gaming I do, I have to ask for opinions. My price range 200$+50 gift card for Amazon.

64-bit Win 10
intel i5-3350p @3.10GHz
8 GB RAM (7.96 usable)
Resolution 1920 x 1080, 60Hz
GeForce GTX 650

I was looking at-
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1180572-REG/evga_02g_p4_2958_kr_geforce_gtx_950_ftw.html

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1180573-REG/evga_02g_p4_2956_kr_geforce_gtx950_suprclocked_acx_2_0.html

Any help would be greatly appreciated. For all I know my CPU couldn't handle the 950. I made the above purchase on a whim without really thinking about it and imo I think I lucked out. I think I paid around 700$ 2.5 years ago. Eh but for all I know I paid way too much.

Solution
if you can wait a few weeks nvidia next month should be dropping the 960ti.
http://wccftech.com/nvidia-preparing-launch-geforce-gtx-960-ti/
when it does drop it going to be at the 250.00 price point. the 960ti is going to be a 970 card cut down. when it does drop the older cards may drop in price.

Thanks for the reply, I was not sure what was specifically needed to answer that question so I just added a pic of what I saw.

That is really not an appropriate PSU for gaming. With your next GPU (whichever way you go), you should absolutely upgrade the PSU with it.

This is the minimum wattage ratings for particular GPU's you should look for:

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

And this is a good list for determining quality:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

For gaming and other power intensive use-cases, it is advised to look at tier's 1 & 2 for the best system stability (and less game issues/crashes)......

I looked at the links and the gtx 950 has 380w suggested. I was looking at this-
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-BRONZE-Continuous-Warranty-100-B1-0600-KR/dp/B00EON40CS/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1451300844&sr=1-2&keywords=psu

Thanks again for your help.

That will work with a 950 for sure, but is a bit lower on the tier list. Because a good PSU can last for years and years, it is always nice to buy something that can stay with you through more than just one upgrade, if possible.

This is out of stock at the moment (at the Amazon price point):

http://www.amazon.com/XFX-ATX12V-EPS12V-Supply-P1550GTS3X/dp/B00HW979AQ/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1451331916&sr=1-4&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A6906984011|6906985011%2Cp_85%3A2470955011%2Cp_89%3AXFX

But for $55, would be worth it (Tier 2).

With a good 550w PSU then, you can look at this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131673&cm_re=PowerColor_Radeon_R9_380_4GB-_-14-131-673-_-Product

The 950 is great, but a R9 380 will best it handily.....and because you have a i5 CPU that will keep up with it, it would be a shame not to go that route.

I have looked at all these suggestions and unfortunately I am on a budget. If the 950 will be supported by the 600b without problems then it will have to do. Thanks a lot for your help, it is much appreciated.

I guess i'm a bit of a compulsive shopper, one on a budget. I think I will be going with 950 and the 600b psu. The suggested psu for my gtx 650 is 400w. I'm wondering how my pc is functioning after all this time, I spend a lot of time playing games. I am worried right now because I've noticed this weird spot on my processor (I think it's the processor). Looks like a heat spot or something, almost like it's a stain from a liquid. I know for sure it was not a liquid though... I have to look into that. Buy a new gpu and psu and then my processor craps out, oh that would be such dookie. Anyway, thank you very much for the help.

When you say a lot stronger i'm assuming if it can handle the 950, it can handle a 960?

GTX970 all the way to GTX980Ti.
