So I just finished after 5 hours of working (my first ever computer build) and it turned on!

However, when I connected it my television through an HDMI cable, nothing appeared even though all the LED's and fans were working (CPU fan, GPU fans, case fans) and I waited a long time but it never sent me to the bios nor to ask me to boot through a USB or a drive.

Here are some screenshots:

Also, here's the build I utilized

I just changed the RAM to 16 Gigs.

I'm pretty sure I placed the RAM correctly too (DDMI2/4 as Z170A krait gaming manual says) and I'm not really sure why this could be happening!
Any help is appreciated!

Also, just as an extra, from the phantom NZXT 530, I found out that there's a little 10 pin connector that says HDAUD, am I supposed to connect that to my motherboard's JAUD1?

Thank you very much for any help!

Solution

If you have the GPU plugged in, then you would plug it into the GPU to get output. The graphics connectors on the I/O panel are disabled with a GPU installed, by default.

Does the HDAudio actually go into JAUD slot from the motherboard though? That's the thing that's concerning me from connecting it.

And I thought there was only one HDMI port which was from the motherboard in the IO panel.

I think it is the correct input, since I'm watching apple tv from the same HDMI cable.

The picture is not that great, but it looks like you might not have plugged in the 8pin CPU power rail from the power supply. If it is plugged in, try changing your HDMI port to a DVI adapter and plug it into DVI port 1 on the video card. Also make sure you plugged into the video card and not the motherboards HDMI or DVI ports (this happens more often than people care to admit).

Oh wow! I didn't notice that! dumb me.

Just 2 quick questions, would you happen to know where I'm supposed to connect the HDAUD? I'm still unsure whether its the JAUD1 slot that my motherboard says.

Also, any tips for testing if everything (cpu, cpu cooler, gpu, etc.) was installed correctly? Since It's my first build and it ran in the first try, I'm kind of worried.

Sorry about the picture quality! I did plug in the 8pin CPU power rail, it actually wasn't plugged in before I posted this (which made my computer not run at all). thanks for the HDMI advice it actually worked :)
