Hi i am looking to build a pc, as my laptops is approaching the end of its life. the main reason for the build is for something to play fallout 4 and for university thesis on matlab.
i am a beginner to this and as far as i am aware the i7 processor brings no benefit to gaming over the i5 and you dont need more than 8gb ram and you should spend as much as possible on the graphics card. i do not need a keyboard, monitor or OS included in the budges,

what i am looking at so far is the

i5 4460 @3.2Ghz
gtx 970 4gb ( could i get away with the gtx750ti 2gb)
Asus H81M-PLUS Motherboard
HyperX FURY Series 8GB
Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM
Samsung SATA DVD
may add an ssd at a later date
and can anyone reccomend a case

i have a couple of questions, how is this looking for gaming, other games i will be playing as well as fallout 4 are fifa 16 and football manager 2016.
also is there much difference between a 3,2ghz processor and a 3.5ghz processor for £30 difference.
i have £100 set aside for a 1080p monitor plus any leftover from my budget from the build
i cant really go over the budget but open to suggestions on any improvements

Solution
Bang on the money here, it has a 4GB 960, because the extra VRAM is very useful over the 2GB versions.
Good Asus mobo, I have used this before and it is very nice
dual channel memory allows for higher bandwidths and therefore better performance
2TB of storage, you can add an SSD later
Decent case, not too expensive but still shows off the components

I couldn't include a GTX 970 without exceeding the budget. So i had to put on a GTX 960, which will basically run any next-gen game at 1080p@60fps at high settings, and older games at ultra.

Well if you can get that build with a 970 at £600, go for it. :D
