I installed my new R9 390 last night, and when I launched Fire Fox, it automatically downloaded Catalyst. I wanted the most recent drivers so I uninstalled Catalyst, and downloaded Crimson. But Crimson doesn't have CPU Power control (I limit my CPU speed so that when browsing my fan doesn't get loud). Can I re-download Catalyst and have both Crimson and Catalyst? Thanks.

You can only have one or the other. Since Crimson will take some time in refinement it's best you disable automatic driver updates in your catalyst software as well as Windows updates by choosing what you updates you download(if Windows 10 then follow this guide).

I would suggest to stick to a version of catalyst that you know is stable and hasn't caused any issues of sorts. I'm on an APU and have had nothing but frustrated events with the drivers not aligning with their hardware.

I suppose the best thing to do is have CPU control in BIOS while you endure Crimson or move back to catalyst as that has been tried and tested.
