Since I am trying to build a PC for my grandma to use, I've started looking around ebay for some cheap parts and I've found a LGA775 mobo (asrock 4core1333-fullHD) which I am going to combine with an E6850 and a 2x2gb kit of Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800MHz. The problem is, that I am not sure whether the RAM will be compatible with the mobo or not. Any help will be appreciated.

your better off buying your Grandma, a nice little laptop, Cause desktops have more problems than laptops. especailly if your buying from ebay.

Laptops have much less problems. If shes just browsing the internet, then you can get a nice laptop for like $400 :)

here is one:

its really good, ot has a AMD A4 processor with inbuilt graphics :)

AMD is really good for entertainment.

I have a AMD A8 laptop , and i love it :)

And laptop is easy for your grandma to use, cause she can take it where ever, and she wont have to sit at a desk all the time (elderly people tend to sit on sofas comfortably).

So yeah that laptop i linked you is realy nice. :)

I don't thin desktops have more issues per-say when a desktop has a issue you can change a part if its bad or failing. Oh the other hand laptops have more issues because they are so limited in the of you cant really work on them a lot of people toss them out when this or that gos bad .. You cant just crack open the laptop and change the motherboard that's not a easy feat to do and Ive seen my share of dead laptops compared to a desktop.
