If intels' website list the processor running ddr4 2133, am I unable to use the 3000 Mhz ddr4?

I probably answer my own question, but just wanted to ask to be safe. I bought some corsair ddr4 3000 Mhz RAM already. Only to realize that when I got home, I did a double check on intel's website and it shows that the processor that I have lists the RAM to be ddr4 2133 Mhz.

Should I exchange it? It's slightly over $10 higher.

What CPU do you have? 2133 is the base spec, most K model Skylake CPUs can run up through about 2666 - 2800 at stock and some even higher, generally when you get around 2800-3000 and higher you might need a bit of a CPU OC to run at the full data rate
