Maximum ram upgrade option = DDR2 667/800MHz 4x2GB. I'm curious how is your current configuration of 6GB's in your motherboard possible? 3x2GB sticks? Does the ram you purchased run off the bat when installed standalone on any of the slots with your older sticks removed? By any chance are you on Windows 10(although it shows up on your product support page to be compatible with Windows Vista)? Is there any BIOS update available for your system?

With all your ram slots populated try and run memtest86 for 10 passes. If any errors come up then the issue is with the rams. You should also runt eh tests per stick per slot to rule out faulty ram slots. The system, after all, is quite aged.
