How to upgrade motherboard

Can anyone give me a step by step guide to changing to a new motherboard. Just the mobo is being changed.

It is an am3+ mobo and I am upgrading so I can use 1600mhz ram

Which mobo is that exactly ? Any AM3+ should be able to run with 1600MHz memory. Depending on the processor even higher !!
