I have a question.

Can the dell dimension 5000 or 5100 be upgraded to run all modern games on at least low or medium.
And if it is possible with what components.
if it is not possible. is the Dell Dimension 9150 a good option to upgrade ?

Solution
lolno.
There's no way in that happening whatsoever. Forget it. You're stuck with a Pentium 4 which couldn't even run some games from 10 years ago smooth. You may have PCI-E but to be honest any GPU you install will be bottlenecked by the CPU.
How much would you be spending on the 9150? Anything above £20 and forget that too. I got a AMD x3 PC that benchmarks 3500 vs the Pentium 4 in the 9150 which gets <900 for £25. Dump a 750ti in the AMD machine and it would fly at games. Put it in the 9150 and you have major bottlenecks.

If you need help finding a better PC then I can help with that. But none of the systems you mentioned can run anything better than a Pentium 4 which is 2001 tech.

If you want a PC that can do what you asked pair a cheapo refurbished business desktop (look for i5 / Core2Quad) with a used / refurbished graphics card (460ti possibly) for a nice build for under £200 that could run most games on low settings.
If you need any help finding a cheap desktop I'm happy to help.
